Horní Domky ski resort - Rokytnice n. J.
Horní Domky ski resort, operated by Spartak Rokytnice, a.s., is one of the biggest and most popular ski resorts in the Czech Republic. It is dominated by Lysá Mountain connected with four-chair ski-lift leading to the altitude of 1,315 meters above sea level. Thus it enables start on the Giant Mountains Cross-Country Ski Trail.
Skiing for all
Thank to its varied terrain (altitude 620 – 1,315 meters above sea level) the ski resort offers skiing for all types of skiers and snowboarders. It will be enjoyed by beginners, moderately advanced as well as the most demanding skiers of all age categories.
You will find wide downhill tracks (sometimes up to 100 m) of all difficulties (blue, red, black) in total length of 14.4 kilometres. Comfortable transportation is provided by two modern four-seat chair lifts; the Horní Domky A1 funicular leading from the corner of the parking place to Lovčenka chalet was built in 2006. The second funicular, Lysá hora, leads up to its summit. The resort also offers six pole lifts of different lengths.
Škoda children's park was built near the lower station of the cableway to Lysá Mountain for small beginners.
Adrenalin sports devotees will appreciate the newly built snow park (at the funicular to Lysá Mountain) with a small pole lift, several ski jumps and railings.
Ski resort is equipped with modern technical snowing and snow vehicles, guaranteeing the daily adjustment of ski slopes
Services in Horní Domky ski resort
Visitors to the resort may use other services such as nurseries and ski schools, ski rentals, ski service, restaurants, fast food… These services are located either on site or in its immediate vicinity.
Access roads to central parking sites are adjusted daily.
Ski resorts in protected area of the Giant Mountains
Skipatrol, which was introduced in season 2007 because of indiscipline of some skiers and snowboarders, will continue to operate in the resort located in the Giant Mountains National Park. Skipatrol also consists of trained staff of the resort with status of conservationists and with the right to issue fines for riding outside the ski slopes, destruction of young vegetation, etc.
Spartak Rokytnice, a.s. adjusts cross-country ski trails in length of 37 km connected to the Giant Mountains Cross-Country Ski Trail or Harrachov cross-country ski trails for lovers of white tracks.
Sport and leisure throughout the year
Horní Domky chair lift is in operation is the summer season which will transport you to the Giant Mountain ridges. Chairlift carries bikes and carriages for free.
The ski resort also operates a bikepark intended for experienced as well as less experienced riders. There are two routes – lighter with obstacles and more difficult downhill track. Both lines converge again at the lower Horní Domky cableway station and each is 1.5 kilometres long with the superelevation of 350 m.
Spartak Rokytnice, a.s. operates other sports centres - Studenov ski resort - as the second largest ski resort in Rokytnice nad Jizerou, sports hall (hall 18×36 m, a gymnasium 12×18 m equipped with training tools, fitness, summer tennis courts), skittle alley with two lanes and automatic pinsetter and other sporting grounds.
